Trusting someone with your health is a big deal.
I’m here to help.
Meet Dr Jess Bowkett, Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner
I’m a univerisity trained and nationally registered Chinese medicine practitioner.
Like many who find themselves in the healthcare professions, my journey began when I was a patient, navigating my own health challenges over many years.
When Chinese medicine was first suggested to me, I didn’t think it would work.

Want to know if Jess can support you with your health concern?
It’s common for my patients to have tried countless other medicines or modalities before landing in my clinic.
One of the strengths of Chinese medicine is the understanding that all of the body’s organs and systems are interconnected. In practice, this means I ask a lot of questions. I listen to my patients in a way that allows me to deeply understand them and recognise the complexities of their health concerns.
Too often health consultations are rushed or stuffy.
My appointment style is relaxed and conversational. I want my patients to feel at ease, and I believe that creating a space where people feel seen and heard ultimately leads to the best health outcomes.
I am driven by a passion for learning and I continually strive to expand my skillset.
I’ve got a degree in neuroscience from the University of Melbourne, and a double degree in health science and Chinese medicine from RMIT University. I fuel my voracious appetite for learning by immersing myself in specialised practitioner mentoring and by regularly attending natural medicine conferences and seminars.
There is time for some fun outside of clinic too.
When I’m not immersed in all things Chinese medicine, you can find me working on my golf swing, spending time in nature or dining my way through Melbourne's bustling food scene.
